Brittingham, Miles *  
Miles Edgar Brittingham, Sr. Marion Station-Miles Edgar Brittingham, 84, of Marion, died peacefully at home Wednesday, December 10, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Crisfield August 28, 1930, he was a son of the late John and Daphne Horsey Brittingham. His step-mother, Melba Justice Brittingham, also preceded him in death. A retired farmer, "Montie" was a devoted member of Faith Fellowship Assembly of God in Crisfield where he was an usher and active in the Royal Rangers. He was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for church fundraisers and family dinners. He was a very good carpenter who could build anything and often donated his skills to help with church renovations and projects, and he also built several of his family member's homes. He loved gardening, planting trees, fishing, feeding birds, and traveling with his wife. He was a kind, gentle, and generous man who loved helping people and would do anything for anyone. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved his family dearly. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Norma Lee Evans Brittingham of Marion; two children, Vickie Benton and husband Delmas of Dames Quarter and Miles Edgar Brittingham, Jr., and wife Libby of Crisfield; four grandchildren, Christine Price and husband John and Stephen Wagner and wife Kelly, all of Westover, Christopher Brittingham and wife Shannon of Wichita, Kansas and Michael Brittingham of Crisfield; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon, Isaac, Emma, Ava, Matthew, Trace, Audrey, and Camden; a special brother and caregiver, Wellington "Pal" Brittingham of Marion; a brother, Donald Brittingham and wife Geraldine of Canton, Georgia; a sister, Shirley Abbott and husband Sam of Cleveland, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Ruth Brittingham of Marion; a special niece and caregiver, Bobbie Jean "Bunk" Tull of Marion; many other nieces and nephews; his special caregivers, Jeannie Loveland, Ruth Diggs, Sherima Bell, Margaret Dize, and Rosemary Davis; and his special nurse, Barbie Morgan. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John "Jack" Brittingham, Charles T. Brittingham, and Bobby Lee Brittingham. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where a viewing will be one hour prior. Pastor Matthew Boldizsar will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brittingham Family Cemetery. Burke, Pauline *  
Pauline Sarah Burke Salisbury-Pauline Sarah Burke, 77, of Salisbury died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Berlin Nursing Home. Born in Hebron she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mable Brown Parsons. Mrs. Burke worked as a CNA at Hartley Hall in Pocomoke for 9 ½ years and Waterview Nursing Home for 24 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that enjoyed cooking for her family. She is survived by three sons, David Freeman Burke and his wife Edna, Oral Robert Burke and his wife Donna, and Norwood Burke; two daughters, Verona Lawrence and her husband William, Jr. and Faith Burke; thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; granddogs, Cassy and Bear Burke; brothers, Willey, Rex, Roy, and Mike Parsons; sisters, Judy Parsons, Sylvia Parsons, and Virginia Burke; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Freeman Burke, Jr. in 2002; brother, Warren Parsons; sisters, Mary Messick, Geraldine Elliott, Mable Marie Dunham, and Patsy Patricia Parsons. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2PM at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Inez Webster Butler Mt. Vernon-Inez Webster Butler, 85, of Mt. Vernon, died at the Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury on Dec. 8, 2014. Born November 8, 1929 in Salisbury, MD., she was the daughter of the late Capt. Mason and Signe Isberg Webster. Inez was a Homemaker, an accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed playing Scrabble, and she loved flea markets and yard sales. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Butler and his wife Dee, of Allen and Joseph E. Butler of Mt. Vernon, three grandchildren, Jamison Shaw Post, Matthew Shaw Butler, and Emily Dayton Butler, one great grandchild Madison Brooke Jesatko, a brother David Webster and his wife Collette, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband CPO Joseph E. Butler, USN a son, Webster Butler, and a grandchild Austin Webster Butler. A Graveside service will be held Tuesday December 16, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Webster Family Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Casagrande, Evelyn *  
Evelyn Marie Casagrande Salisbury-Evelyn Marie Casagrande, 94, of Salisbury, passed away with her family at her side on Friday, December 12, 2014 in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, MD, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Virginia Morris. Evelyn was a member at Mount Hermon Methodist Church for over 80 years. She worked as a seamstress at several local shirt factories. After many years of hard work she was proudly able to purchase a home that she shared with her parents. Evelyn meant her husband of 35 years Paul, marrying him in 1947. In 1953 she became a stay at home mother to her two children. She became a carrier for the Daily Times after her children were older and also driving a school bus for Holloway Transit for a number of years. She is survived by a son, Danny Casagrande and his wife Cindy of Parsonsburg; daughter Paula Haltaman of Fort Myers, FL; brother Kenny Morris and his wife Brenda; a sister Nancy Olsen and her husband Steve; an especially close nieces Stephanie and Melody and several other nieces and nephews and sister in laws Mary and Laura Casagrande. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Paul Casagrande in 1981; two brothers Norman Morris who was killed on D-Day at the invasion of Normandy and Luther Morris; son in law James Haltaman and her closest friend and cousin Elsie Perdue. The family would like to express thanks to Teresa Wilkerson and Donna Dement for helping care for Evelyn while she was home and Wicomico Nursing Home and staff for the care during her final months. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 17 at 11:00 am at Mount Hermon Methodist Church, there will be a visitation one hour prior and interment will follow at Hammond Cemetery on Mt Hermon Rd. Jeff Martin Chandler Pocomoke-Jeff Martin Chandler, 44, departed this life to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 14, 2014 surrounded by family. Born April 3, 1970, he was a son of the late Jack Chandler and Virginia Mariner Chandler. Jeff was a 1988 graduate of Pocomoke High School and worked for Tidewater Express as a truck driver. He will be remembered as a loving son, husband and father. Jeff loved spending time with his boys and riding his motorcycle. He was a friend who never met a stranger and had a heart for people. He is survived by his wife, Carolann Chandler; three sons, Jacob Chandler, LCpl Jarett Chandler, USMC, and John Chandler; his mother Virginia Chandler Sprinkle and her husband Paul; all of Pocomoke City; one sister, Nina Chandler Littleton and her husband John of Salisbury, one niece and several nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church, Fourth and Market Streets in Pocomoke City. Interment will be private at a later date.
