Arthur Lee Blades, Jr.

Pocomoke City—Arthur Lee Blades, Jr., 87, of Pocomoke City, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Hartley Hall.

Born in Pocomoke, he was the son of the late Arthur and Marie Richardson Blades.

He was a florist for 42 years, working at Benedict's for many years as well as for other local flower shops.

He was a member of Lynnhaven Baptist Church and was a former member of the Pocomoke Jaycee's.

He is survived by his special friends, Diane Frostrom, Dixie Davis, Belinda Rositer, Terry and Janet Wigton, and Ray Buyea, wife Nancy and daughter Heather; and a nephew, Robert Doughty and wife June.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rosa Ella Blades Doughty on September 18, 2012.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 1 PM at Lynnhaven Baptist Church in Pocomoke.

Arrangements are in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield.
