Bishop Raymond Mills

Seaford, DE—Bishop Raymond Mills, 89, of here, departed this life on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Raymond Mills and Wilhemina Brown.

He was a former pastor of Trinity Holiness Church in Laurel, DE. Prior to his passing, he was a member of Church of God in Seaford, DE.

Prior to retiring, he was employed by Kent Sussex Industries (KSI).

Loving memories will remain with: his wife, Jessie Mills of Seaford, DE; five sons, Rudolph Mills, Sr. and Anthony (Deborah) Mills, both of Seaford, DE, Raymond Mills and Kenneth (Shirley) Mills, Sr., both of Laurel, DE, and David (Emma) Mills of Millsboro, DE; one daughter, Patricia Mills of Millsboro, DE; another daughter-in-law, Joyce Purnell of Salisbury; a son-in-law, Donald Maddox of Salisbury; one brother, Edward (Ethel) Mills of Philadelphia, PA; one sister, Betty Mills of California; 29 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by: two wives, Bernice Mills and Evelyn Mills; one son, Ray Purnell; and one daughter, Clara Maddox.

Bishop Mills will lie in repose on Friday from 6 to 8 PM and Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at Church of God on Stein Highway in Seaford, DE. The funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Bishop Leon Wilson will officiate. Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park, Inc. on West Road in Salisbury. A ministry of comfort and dignity is being provided by Lewis N.
