Crisfield—Charles Freddie Pruitt, 58, of Crisfield, died Monday, February 4, 2013 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Born on Ewell, Smith Island on April 20, 1954, he was a son of the late Clifton M. and Rita A. Crockett Pruitt.

Charles Freddie was a member of Faith Fellowship Assembly of God. He enjoyed going to church, praying for people, watching and singing along to Bill Gaither videos, and singing in church with his Mom. He loved hugging and kissing people, and never met a stranger or an enemy. He also enjoyed going to the Somerset County Developmental Center which he considered "school" or "work".

He is survived by two sisters and a brother, Catherine Bradshaw and husband Dallas, Frances Marsh and husband Charlie, and Warren Ray Pruitt and wife Diane, all of Crisfield; a sister-in-law, Mary Pruitt of Crisfield; and his nieces and nephews, Mark Bradshaw, Jim Bradshaw, Cathy Marsh, Lori Jamison, Gayle Carey, Chuck Marsh, Cliff Pruitt, Christi Pruitt-Knierim, and J.R. Pruitt and Nathan Pruitt.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley M. Pruitt; and two nephews, Sam Marsh and Jon David Bradshaw.

A memorial service and urn interment will be held at a later date.
