Dorothy Jeanette Harrison Wilkins
Salisbury—Dorothy Jeanette Harrison Wilkins, 78, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Francis Harrison and Mary Alice Patchett Harrison.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family more than life itself and was very proud. Dottie, as she was known to her friends and family
worked for over 25 years at McKee Baking Company, retiring in 1990 as an executive secretary. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She had a very strong faith in God and love of family.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest Ambrose Wilkins; 8 children, Suzanne W. Ewing(Richard) of Ocean City, MD, Kaye Spurgeon of Ooltewah, TN, Robin Frazey of Signal Mountain, TN, Adele Grant of Hixson, TN, Matthew Arner of Birchwood, TN, Joseph Arner (Tammy) of Downers Grove, IL, Michele Murphy of Trenton, GA and Dan Arner (Kim) of Salisbury, MD; 22 grandchildren, Marc, Kristen, Brandy, Adam, Katie, Tiffany, Briann, Danielle, Sarah, Ryan, Cassidy, Lauralye, Melyssa, Nicholas, Destiny, Joelle, Rachel, Brooke, Allison, Daniel, Nicole and Sydney; 18 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Bringman of Oxford, MD, Mildred Lewis of Cambridge, MD and Catherine Wright of Preston, MD; 2 brothers, B. Hope Harrison (Willa) of St. Michaels, MD and Charles Harrison (Margaret) of Easton, MD.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Earl Harrison, C. Lee Harrison, Helen Williams, Clark Harrison, Elwood Harrison and Alvin Harrison.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 12:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be a son, Pastor Joseph Arner. Entombment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
