Earl Clayton Reeder
Stockton-Earl Clayton Reeder, 85, of Stockton passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at his home, surrounded by family.
Born Nov. 6, 1928, in Moreland, Pa., he was a son of the late Howard and Florence Hausknecht Reeder.
Earl worked as a poultry grower for 38 years, after working for the Maryland State Highway Administration in Snow Hill for eight years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing with his son and spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Frances Mariner Reeder; three children, Carol (William) Davis of Snow Hill, Earl (Tammy) Reeder of Assawoman and Gail (Alan) Pennewell of Pocomoke City; six grandchildren, Earl Joseph Reeder (Heather), Christopher Reeder, Danielle Godwin, Catana Lambertson (Mark), Sierra Davis and Jenna Pennewell; six great-grandchildren; one nephew; and extended family, Frederick Joyner and Paula Davidson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Grover, Chalmer and Charles Reeder; one sister, Thelma Reeder; and one very close employer and friend, Paul Joyner.
A private memorial service will be at a later date officiated by the Revs. Donnie Bailey and Bob Miller.
Earl's last days were made easier by the help of two very special Hospice caregivers, Amy Farozic and Janice Adams and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
