Florence May Lamont Marple
SALISBURY —Florence May Lamont Marple died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013. She was born Jan. 8, 1917, in Olney, Pa. Florence was a graduate of what was then Strayer's Business College and worked in a local bank for many years. She lived in Blue Bell, Pa., until 1985, when she moved to Salisbury with her daughter and family. Florence, known fondly by many as "Mimi," was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and was an active volunteer at the Opportunity Shop for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Holly Marple Curtis; the granddaughters she adored, Keely and Kerry Curtis; her precious sister, Annetta Lamont Morton (Harry); and three much loved nephews and their families.
Special thanks to the loving staff at Wicomico Nursing Home for caring for her the past few years, and to her devoted friend, Kathy Donovan.
Services and interment will be at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Westside Intermediate School Technology Fund, c/o Wendy Catlin, 8000 Quantico Road, Hebron, Md. 21830.
