Fredrick Engelhaupt

Fredrick E. Engelhaupt, Sr.

OCEAN CITY-Fredrick Edward Engelhaupt, Sr., 84, died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Fredrick M. and Lula E. Engelhaupt . He is survived by his sons, Fredrick E.Engelhaupt, Jr. of Encino, Calif, Ronald Engelhaupt and his wife Esther of Tampa, Fla, John Supeck and his wife Heather of Mappsville, Va; and daughter, Barbara Ziegler of Bel Air, Md. He was an adored grandfather to, David Supeck, and his wife Kelsi, Nicole Willis and her husband Justin, Michael, Matthew and Mark Ziegler, Matthew and Allison Maldonado; and great-grandson Mason Willis. He leaves a brother, Walter and Joan Engelhaupt of Parksville, Md; and nephews, Kurt, Craig, and Mark Engelhaupt, and Steve Scruggs of Sparks, Md.

Mr. Engelhaupt served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He later worked for Baltimore Gas and Electric as a Supervisor in construction design. He attended St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church, and was a member of the Bel Air American Legion Post #39, Ocean City Memorial VFW Post # 8296, where he served as Past Post Commander, and member of the Korean Chapter of the 2nd Infantry Division.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Talbot St. and Baltimore Ave, Ocean City MD, 21842. Rev. Stanislao Esposito will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. A viewing will also be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park in Baltimore, Md.
