Ida Marjorie Malkin Emmerthal

SALISBURY — Ida Marjorie Malkin Emmerthal, 92, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at her residence in Salisbury. She was born and lived in Norwalk, Conn., all of her life and was the daughter of the late Albert Denton Malkin and Ida Selina Steele Malkin.

She was a lifetime member of the Shore & Country Club and Grace Episcopal Church in Norwalk. She was an avid rug hooker and belonged to ATHA. Every summer she enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. She was so well loved by her family and friends.

She is survived by three children, Gail M. Bartkovich and her husband, John, of Salisbury, George M. Emmerthal and his wife, Julianne, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Ann E. Everingham and her husband, George, of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Jennifer, Bryan and Michael; three great-grandchildren, Arden, Ava and Asten; and a brother, Richard A. "Dick" Malkin and his wife, Marjorie, of Topsham, Maine.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward George Emmerthal; a brother, Edwin Steele Malkin; and a sister, Alberta Kern.

Following cremation, private memorial services will be held at a later date.
