Jeffrey W. Adkins
Fruitland—Jeffrey W. Adkins, 47, of Fruitland and formerly of Pittsville, died Sunday, November 4, 2012, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late William G. and Jane Adkins. Mr. Adkins was a self-employed sub-contractor in construction.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki R. Adkins of Fruitland, children Elizabeth Adkins, John Adkins, Olivia Sigrist, Daniel Sigrist, Jessica Willey; granddaughter Casi Lynn Nichols, and sister Billie Jo Holland and her husband Jimmy. He was preceded in death by a beloved brother, Kenny Adkins, who was his best friend and we are all sure was there to welcome him. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom he dearly loved.
Jeff was very friendly and would joke and carry on with anyone he met. He was a Dallas Cowboy and NASCAR fan. His favorite driver was Matt Kenseth. Jeff also enjoyed driving and working on stock cars with the "Little Lincoln" club at Delaware International Speedway.
A service will be held Friday, November 9, 2012, at 8:00pm at Holloway Funeral Home. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Paul Sherwood will officiate.
