Joan Ellen Good Aydelotte
Snow Hill—Joan Ellen Good Aydelotte, 73, of Snow Hill, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Center in Salisbury.
She was born May 16, 1939 in Easton, a daughter of the late William Cannon Good and Mary Elizabeth Carlisle Good.
Joan was a member of Makemie Presbyterian Church in Snow Hill for many years. She was also a member of Worcester Chapter 102, Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, she was an excellent cook and worked in the cafeteria at Snow Hill High School for over 9 years and also at McDonald's in Snow Hill for 3 ½ years. She enjoyed being with her family and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roland Jay Aydelotte, who she married June 22, 1958; a son, Darrell J. Aydelotte of Snow Hill; a daughter, Glynis Aydelotte of Delmar, MD; a brother-in-law, William Shockley of Pittsville; and a niece Melinda Wilkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Rosemary Good Shockley and a niece, Susan Riddleberger.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Makemie Presbyterian Church in Snow Hill, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00. The Reverend Debra Latture will officiate. Interment will follow at Makemie Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
