Louise (Weezie) Roberts
SALISBURY-Louise (Weezie) Roberts, 80, of 875 Victoria Park died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Allen, she was the daughter of the late Bradley R., Sr. and Goldie (Jones) Williams.
She was formerly employed with the former Excelsior Sewing Factor of Salisbury. She was also formerly employed with K& L Microwave of Salisbury and Millennium Microwave of Fruitland.
She was a member of Wesley Temple United Methodist Church in Salisbury. Here, she served as member and former secretary for the United Methodist Women, Special Parish Relations, Communion Steward, Older Adult Ministries and the Scholarship Committee. She also served as past secretary with the District United Methodist Women.
She was a member of the V.F.W
., Ladies Auxiliary, Post #10159 of Salisbury; former member of Naomi Chapter #16, Order of the Eastern Star, P.H.A. of Salisbury; and member of the Salisbury High School Alumni Association. She also served as an Election Judge for the Wicomico County Board of Elections and secretary for the community of Victoria Park at Sassafras Meadows.
Her survivors include her husband of fifty years, Williard M. Roberts, Jr. of Salisbury; one daughter, Sandra (Harold) Anderson of Galloway, N.J.; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Harold Anderson III of New Jersey and Dione Anderson and Aniya Johnson, both of Norfolk, Va; two siblings, Ina Townsend of Salisbury and James (Violet) Williams of Allen; a special niece, Bonita (James) Fassett of Salisbury; three other nieces, one nephew, several great-nieces and nephews.
Five siblings preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held noon Friday at Wesley Temple United Methodist Church, where friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park in Salisbury.
A memorial service will be conducted by the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post #10159, Thursday at 7 p.m.
Funeral services are entrusted to Jolley Memorial Chapel of Salisbury.
