Margaret R. Hall
Salisbury—Margaret R. Hall, 92, of Salisbury passed away on November 18, 2012 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake after a short illness. Born in Baltimore on September 2, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John Meiser and Frances Meiser Kersten.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury for over 50 years where she was active in the Alter Guild, United Methodist Woman and the Opportunity Shop. She was also a volunteer for the Junior Board at PRMC and at the Cancer Society. Margaret graduated in 1942 from the University of Maryland where she majored in Physical Education and was a cheerleader. She taught at Asbury Child Development Center and East Salisbury Elementary. She loved her church, to play bridge and spend time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Philip G. Hall, a grandson; William Sheeley, two brothers; John and Frederick Meiser and a sister; Marion Staley.
Margaret is survived by four children; Philip Hall Jr. and his wife Christina of New Smyrna Beach, FL, John Hall and his wife Carolyn of Salisbury, Jeanne Vice of Salisbury, and Les Hall and his wife Wanda of Suffolk, VA, seven grandchildren; Daryl Hall and Steve Hellmann, Christine and Mike Foster, Steven and Jennifer Hall, Kathryn and Will Rhinehardt, David Hall, Cristin and Christiaan Pond and Jordan Hall, nine great-grandchildren and other family and extended-family members.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. A visitation will be held from 5 - 7 PM on Friday, November 23, 2012 at Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. Burial will be in Parsons Cemetery.
