Nancy L. Bromley
SALISBURY—Nancy L. Bromley, 76, of Salisbury died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Taylors, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mallie Sims Bryant.
Nancy was a registered nurse, a profession for which she was proud of and truly loved. During her retirement she also loved doing puzzles and word searches, receiving flowers and drinking coffee with her best friend, Melba. You could also find her every Saturday at Dave White's Diner in Pittsville having breakfast. Afternoons or evenings you could have also found her at either Goin' Nuts or Village Inn, two of her other favorite restaurants.
She is survived by her family, Lynne Smith and Victor Ferkel, Leon and Sandy Bromley, Lynda Bromley and Mike Reinhart, and Penny and Richard Hudson; grandchildren, Crystal, Paul, Brandon and Ashley; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Sara Kay and Margaret VanOsdol. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Bromley, in 2003; daughter, Lou Ann Bromley, in 2003; and grandson, Preston Bromley, also in 2003.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Elder Samson Shupe will officiate. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
