Roger Dale Foxwell

Salisbury-Roger Dale Foxwell 67 of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014 surrounded by his family at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

Born December 8, 1946 he was the son of the late, Harry and Louise Foxwell.

Roger joined the Navy in 1966 and served on the USS Wasp for 2 years and later the USS John F. Kennedy where he was Plank Owner. He worked at Chester Benson Garage, Oliphant Chevrolet as service manager, Delmarva Oil for 12 years and S & L Trucking for 13 years. He retired in May 2008 due to Kidney Failure. He enjoyed fishing and wood working. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Delmar since he was a little boy, where he later married, Patricia Ann Patterson on September 2, 1967, they were married for 47 ½ year.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Susan Lynn Cannon and husband, Dean, Sr; grandchildren: Amanda Lynn Milham and husband, Robert of Grand Junction, IA, Dean Cannon Jr. and wife, Rachel, Natalie, Dalton and Derek Cannon all of Seaford, DE; great-grandchildren: Caden, Adalynn and Caelynn Milham; brother, Harry Lane Foxwell and wife, Ginny of Delmar, DE; sister-in-law, Louise Foxwell; brother-in-law, Harry A. Patterson, III of Middle River, MD; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He loved his family very much and will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Lee Foxwell and his in-laws, Harry and Betty Patterson, Jr.

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 7, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 pm and Friday one hour prior to the service. Pastor Barry Devine will officiate. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
