SALISBURY — Seth "Ray" Campbell, 90, of Salisbury died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Loop, Pa., he was the son of the late, Ralph L. and Maude P. Clapper Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was a 30-year career U.S. Army
veteran with the rank of CW-4. Memberships include Trinity United Methodist Church, life member of Military Officers Association of America, life member of VFW
, Disabled American Veterans and North East Chapter of the ACICV.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Phyllis R. Campbell of Salisbury; children and their spouses, Joyce E. and Lee Townsend of Salisbury, Ray and Kathy Campbell of Millersville, Md., Paul M. and Lynn Campbell of Sykesville, Md., and Mark C. and Maria Campbell of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Thomas Harris, Richard Harris, Heather Campbell; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Harris and Colin Harris; siblings, Daisey Louise McCoy and Ralph L. of Pennsylvania; as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 10, at 10 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 112 High St., Salisbury. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 at Holloway Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. William Kniceley will officiate. Interment will be in the Eastern Shore of Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock.
