NORTHFIELD, N.J.—Thomas L. Bowen Sr., 78, of Northfield died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, Surrounded by his family after a sudden illness. He was born in Salisbury and later moved to New Jersey after marrying his beloved wife, Dorothy. In September they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. After retiring from the title business, he spent countless hours with his grandsons and their many activities. Tom was a quiet man whose words spoke volumes. His sense of humor is treasured and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Beulah and John Franklin Bowen, and nephew, Russell Henman. Tom will be dearly missed by a loving family which includes his wife, Dorothy (Frankman) Bowen, his children, Barbara and Tom Jr. and their spouses, Doug and Kelly, respectively, whom he cherished as if they were his own. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Brandon and Travis Bowen and DJ, David, and Danny Ireland; brother, John Bowen and wife, Doris, of Winter Haven, Fla.; sister Joyce Henman of Snow Hill; brother-in-law Don Frankman and wife, Karen, of Absecon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, from 9:30-11 a.m. with his funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona, N.J.
