ATLANTIC — Isabel G. Blanco, 58, of Atlantic passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, she was the daughter of Cesar Blanco and Ramona Cabral Blanco. She has been on the Eastern Shore of Virginia for the past 17 years. She has lived in the United States for the past 24 years.
She is survived by both her parents and four sisters and two brothers, Maria del Carmen, Alicia, Beatris, Alejandra, Daniel and Jose Luis.
She is also survived by a son, Juan, whom she loved and adored and his wife, Sharon, whom she loved like a daughter. Also surviving her is a daughter, Patricia, whom she loved and adored, and Joe, her son-in-law whom she loved like a son. She is survived by her two grandchildren, Amanda, 10, and Molly, 7. Her grandchildren were her life and they will miss her greatly. She will also be survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and loved friends.
Mrs. Blanco was an entrepreneur, owning several businesses. She earned her certificate in phlebotomy, of which she was very proud. She had a love for life and a vivacious spirit. She loved talking and meeting people everywhere she went. She knew no strangers and has left behind many loved ones. She was a asset to the community and often volunteered her time to help others. Life will never be the same without you. We love you and miss you dearly.
There will be a viewing for friends and family at 4 p.m. Monday, with services following at 5 p.m. at the Pocomoke Community Center in Pocomoke City.
