Joan H. Trice

Federalsburg—Joan H. Trice, of Federalsburg, died January 25, 2013 at Easton Memorial Hospital. She was 76.

Mrs. Trice was born in Salisbury on February 29, 1936, the daughter of the late Eldridge and Doris Hayman. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey D. Trice and Carol Trice of Easton, Andrew W. Trice and Sharon B. Soffer of Arlington, VA, and T. Mark Trice and Margaret Trice of Easton; a brother and sister-in-law, Eldridge W. (Buddy) Hayman Jr. and Amy A. Hayman; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Theodore T. Trice, on January 21, 2013.

Mrs. Trice was educated at Salisbury Teacher's College (now Salisbury University), receiving a Bachelor's Degree in 1958. She then served as a teacher at Federalsburg Elementary School for four years prior to starting a family. Subsequently, she worked with her husband in the family business, T.T. Trice & Sons, while raising her three children. She also served for many years as a Sunday School teacher at Union United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, cross-stitch, music, and spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be held on Wed. Jan. 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home P.A. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be private.
