John O. Wade Jr.

Salisbury—John O. Wade Jr, 77, of Salisbury, died at his home on Monday, September 17, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born in Mingo Junction, OH on April 27, 1935 to the late John O. Wade Sr. and Julia Reidy Anderson.

Following graduation from Mingo High School he pursued a career at Western-Southern Life Insurance Company, which relocated him and his family to Salisbury, MD in 1969. Although he was an Ohio native, he always considered the Eastern Shore his home, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Mingo Junction Vol. Fire Dept. He was an avid Notre Dame and Oakland Raiders fan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father; Michael Anderson, three sisters; Mildred Grimm, Jean Menella, Mary Sedon, and two brothers; Patrick Anderson, Joseph Anderson.

He is survived by his loving wife; Stella C. Wade of Salisbury, nine children; Debbie Lloyd, Julia White and her husband Bill, Cheryl Wade, Phylis Austin, Tina Ciarmoli, Phillip Ciarmoli, Pam Edwards, Mary Theresa Wade, John Wade III and his wife Renee, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a sister; Kay Hoefler.

A viewing will be held from 6 -8 PM on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Holloway Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Burial will be in Wicomico Memorial Park.
