Katherine E. Ziegelheafer

Delmar—Katherine Estelle Ziegelheafer, 91, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Bozman, Maryland on April 30, 1921, a daughter of the late Daniel Seth McQuay and Helen Ruth McQuay Fedder.

Katherine was a faithful volunteer for many years at the Salisbury Nursing Home and later at Harvest Ministries in Delmar. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Delmar. She and her late husband owned and operated Woodlawn Campground in Delmar, Maryland.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Menser of Delmar, Maryland; a son, Robert Leroy Ziegelheafer of Gaffney, SC; a brother, Gordon R. McQuay of Baltimore; a brother-in-law, Earl Ziegelheafer of Baltimore; four grandsons; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Robert Ziegelheafer; a brother, Leroy Seth McQuay; and a sister, Major Doris Yvonne McQuay of the Salvation Army.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7922 Wise Avenue, Dundalk, Maryland. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Baltimore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 3235, Salisbury, Maryland 21802.
