Kenneth Banks

SALISBURY—Kenneth Banks, 71, of Salisbury answered the Lord's call on Friday, March 29, 2013, at home.

Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Denwood and Clara M. Banks.

Mr. Banks was a master carpenter, working for many years with Gillis Gilkerson. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Tony Tank Council 61, Red Men's Lodge. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Banks of Salisbury; children, David Banks of West Ocean City, Delena L. Banks of Eden, Paula Vickers and husband, George, of Fruitland, Faye Banks II of Salisbury, Kimberly D. Banks-Corbin and husband, Eddie, of Willards and Vernon Bailey and wife, Rita, of Mount Vernon; stepchildren, Bruce Taylor and wife, Pam, and Elsie Taylor and husband, Rick, all of Salisbury; grandchildren, Victoria and Jaime Whyte, Kenny White, Ryan Bailey, Robert and Danielle Hyle, Kimberly Evans, Nicole Corbin, Zeke Collins, Lindsey Owens and Matthew and Shane Vickers, and Summer Banks; great-grandson, Bryan Whyte Adkins; and several other great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, David A., Carroll and Danny Banks.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 4, at 2 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 and Thursday one hour prior to the service. Paul Klaverweiden Jr. will officiate. Private interment will be in Allen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, Md. 21802.
