Leon J. Bivens, Jr.

Princess Anne —Leon J. Bivens Jr. (Joey as he is so affectionately called) was born January 4, 1977 in Salisbury, MD. He fell asleep in death at home in Princess Anne, MD on January 9, 2013. He attended Somerset County Schools and received his certificate of completion in June of 1998. Joey loved people especially his family and his extended family of many christian friends and neighbors. He loved to study the Bible, laugh, dance, sing, and have fun. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses he volunteered to share Bible truth with his neighbors and acquaintances. He is survived by his parents Leon, Sr. and Casandra Bivens of Princess Anne, MD; three brothers Marlon Bivens of Baltimore, MD, Brian Bivens and Justin Bivens of Princess Anne, MD; grandmother Ronnie Mosely of Elkridge, MD; four uncles George Bivens of Crisfield, MD, Sylvester Bivens (Patricia) of Brooklyn, NY, Marvin Mosely and Brent Mosely of California; three aunts Barbara James of Crisfield, MD, Gloria Taylor (Calvin) of Eden, MD and Jennifer Mosely of Elkridge, MD; one nephew Maddix Bivens of Harrisburg, PA; two nieces Aniya Bivens and Canaye Bivens of Princess Anne, MD; and many, many cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, U.S. Rt.13 and Curtis Chapel Road in Westover. Arrangements entrusted to Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne. To send condolences, please visit www.anthonyeward.com.
