SEAFORD — Nancy L. Haymaker, 67, a resident of the Seaford Center and the Maryland Eastern Shore passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012.
Nancy was born in Baltimore, a daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Ethel Haymaker.
A loving mother and homemaker, she was a past active member of Nelsons Memorial United Methodist Church in Hebron, where she was a Sunday school teacher and volunteer. After high school, she was a cosmetologist. Nancy was active in the 4H club as a leader for many years and enjoyed working with horses. Cherished memories include her love of animals and being very gifted with her hands.
Mrs. Haymaker is survived by her sons, Richard Caldwell of Owings Mills, Md., and Harry Caldwell of Centerville, Md.; her daughter, Jess Anderson of Hebron; her siblings Charles Haymaker Jr. and Ronald Haymaker, both of Centerville, and a sister, Harriett Swift of Florida; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive her.
A funeral service will be held at Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home 700 West St., Laurel, Del. 19956, on Tuesday at 11 a.m., where a viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. The Pastor Jim Riley will officiate. Interment will be held privately.
Immediately following the service, a time of food and fellowship will be held at Nelsons Memorial United Methodist Church in Hebron.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Haymaker's wish was for contributions to be sent to Nelsons Memorial United Methodist Church, 100 S. Main St., Hebron, Md. 21830.
