Dover, DE—Peter "Bo-Bo" Davis, Jr., 54, of here, departed this life on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Bayhealth Medical Center - Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE. Born in Salisbury, he was the oldest son of Peter Davis, Sr. and Alveta Davis of Eden.
"Bo-Bo," as he was affectionately known, received his early education in the public school system of Wicomico County. He furthered his education at Delaware State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.
He served in the Army National Guard for eight years as a Communications Specialist.
"Bo-Bo" worked in the Department of Corrections for 10 years. He was currently employed as a Security Officer at Resort Investigations and Patrol in Fenwick Island, DE.
He was a member of New Life Family Worship Center in Camden, DE. Peter was baptized by Elder Thornton Pitts of the Community Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Seaford, DE.
In 1994, Peter was united in holy matrimony to Jeanette Conquest. From this union, Peter and Jeanette were blessed with two sons.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish the many loving memories of his life are: his wife of 19 years, Jeanette Davis; two sons, Peter Davis III and Jairus Davis; seven brothers, Gary (Marcia) Davis, Kent (Stacey) Davis, Bernie (Priscilla) Davis, Brice (Tanya) Davis, Jerel (Melissa) Davis, all of Salisbury, Byron (Corey) Davis of Eden, and Rufus (Suzette) Davis of Hebron; eight sisters, Janis Sanders of Parsonsburg, Linette (Larry) Rogers of Miami, FL, Martha Ross of Springfield, VA, Francine (Derrick) Thompson of Fayetteville, NC, Carol (Anthony) Johnson of Fruitland, Teresa (Michael) Foster of Willards, Matilda Tull, and Karenna (Kenneth) Jones, both of Salisbury; three brothers-in-law, John Young of Dover, DE, Roger (Ruth) Conquest of Georgetown, DE and Marcus Conquest of Bridgeville, DE; five sisters-in-law, Doretta Hitchens, Kathleen (William) Bowens, Claretta (Billy) Jackson, Patricia (Rufus) Jones, all of Millsboro, DE, and Doreen Conquest of Georgetown, DE; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other in-laws, and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister, Arlene Davis.
Mr. Davis will lie in repose on Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at First Baptist Church located on 528 Booth Street and Delaware Avenue in Salisbury. The funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Dr. Bill Roberts will officiate. Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park, Inc. located on West Road in Salisbury. A ministry of comfort and dignity is being provided by Lewis N.
