Raymond R. Moynihan

SEAFORD — Raymond Rowan "Ray"Moynihan, 61, of Seaford passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Anchorage Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury after a courageous battle with several illness.

Ray was born on Aug. 29, 1950, a son of Helen Moynihan and the late Edward Moynihan. He lived his entire life in Seaford. He was a 1968 graduate of Seaford High School, where he earned a certificate for perfect attendance and was a member of the band.

His father, Edward J. Moynihan, died in 1974. Ray is survived by his mother, Helen Moynihan of Seaford; his brothers, Larry Moynihan and his wife, Kaye, of Seaford, Frank Moynihan and his wife, Marcie, of Austin, Texas, and E. Michael Moynihan of Seaford; two nieces, Dr. Jennifer Tokarsky (Greg) of Columbia, Md., and Kelly Moynihan of Austin; two nephews, John Moynihan of Austin and Edward Moynihan (Molly Askin) of Washington, D.C.; and two great-nephews, Gabriel and Theodore.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff members at Anchorage Rehab Center for their caring and compassionate car of Ray during his long illness.

A memorial Mass will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 532 Stein Highway, Seaford.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, PO Box 719, Seaford, Del. 19973.
