Samuel Franklin Disharoon Jr.

SALISBURY —Samuel Franklin Disharoon Jr., 49, of Salisbury passed away at his residence on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2012. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Samuel Franklin Disharoon Sr. and Reba Mae Windsor Disharoon.

He was a self-employed building contractor with his business known as Sam and Son's Builders. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a talented builder and a very giving man. He just built a cross in memory of the Sandy Hook tragedy, displayed on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. He was very devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Faye Disharoon; three children, Samantha Lynn Disharoon and Jennifer Michelle Disharoon, both of Delmar, and Andrew Franklin Jones and his wife, Kim, of Willards; two grandchildren, Kayden and Gage; two brothers, Jim Murphy and his wife, Maria, of Salisbury and Willis Arthur Disharoon and his wife, Crystal, of Willards; three sisters, Judy Darlene Murphy and Beverly Sue Adkins, both of Salisbury and Pamela Ann Biggs and her husband, Richard, of Rochester, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews, including Richard Murphy and his wife, Cara, of Easton, Matthew Murphy and his wife, Jenny, of Parsonsburg, Logan, Emily and Tyler Disharoon; several great-nieces and nephews, including, Abbi and Ava Murphy.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Jan. 7, at 3 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation two hours prior to the service. The Rev. Oren Perdue will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Disharoon Scholarship Fund, c/o Hebron Savings Bank, 415 E. Carroll St., Salisbury, Md. 21804.
