Sara Frances Taylor Moore

Salisbury—Sara Frances Taylor Moore "Frankie", 95 of Salisbury died Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Salisbury. Born on November 19, 1917 in Salisbury she was the daughter of the late Henry Sewell and Florence Mary Taylor.

In 1935 she graduated in the first class at Salisbury Teachers College and was a teacher for many years at Mrs. Harrell's School in Salisbury. She was a member for over 90 years of Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury and a charter member of Green Hill Yacht and Country Club. She was a board member at John B. Parsons Home and served as president of the Junior Board at Peninsula Regional Hospital. She was an avid bridge player and loved to volunteer at Coastal Hospice. Frankie was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.

She is survived by her twin daughters, Mary Moore McCurdy and her husband, Scott of Salisbury and Martha Moore Edgerton and her husband, Stephen of Wilmington, NC; sister, Jean Taylor Beach of Salisbury; grandchildren, Michael Moore Church, James Dallas "JD" McCurdy, Amanda Moore Church, Martha Moore McCurdy and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Roy Franklin Moore and a brother, Richard Lee Taylor of Salisbury.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church.
