SNOW HILL — Sharon Ann Keller Sandusky, 55, of Snow Hill passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012. Born in Baltimore on Feb. 5, 1957, she was a daughter of the late George and Lois Keller.
In 1986, Sharon relocated with her family to Parsonsburg. In her years as an Eastern Shore resident, she became known to many through her extensive volunteer work. From the Girl Scouts of America to the Humane Society of Wicomico County, she brought a kind heart and tireless work ethic. Sharon's happiest moments were spent improving the world around her, caring for both animals and her fellow man. She loved traveling with her friends to tropical getaways and entertaining, and was a gifted and successful gardener.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina Kohout and her husband, Nick, and their children, Austin and Jack; her son, Josh Sandusky and his wife, Kelly; the father of her children, Randy Sandusky; her sister, Cynthia Staley and her husband, Brian; her niece, Michelle Staley; and many other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Makemie Memorial Presbyterian Church, 115 Franklin St., Snow Hill, Md. 21863, with the Rev. Debra Latture officiating. A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Humane Society of Wicomico County, 5130 Citation Drive, Salisbury, Md. 21804.
