Shirley Estella Bivans

Salisbury—Shirley Estella Bivans, 75, of here, departed this life on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Accomack County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Renzie Carr and Caroline G. Carr. Her husband, Wilmer Bivans, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bivans attended Weeping Mary Full Gospel Baptist Church in Salisbury.

She worked as a babysitter for many years.

Fond memories will be cherished by: two sons, Donald Bilal Rabah - Hasan Carr and Larry (Annette) Carr, Sr., both of Salisbury; two daughters, Shirley Carr and Carolyn Terry of Salisbury; one brother, Lorenzie R. (Leah) Carr of Salisbury; three grandchildren whom she raised, Tonya Johnson of Salisbury, Raymond "Buster" (Lisa) Cuffee of Towson and Donya (Myron) Carr Douglas Bradshaw of Hanover; 15 other grandchildren; a special great-grandson, Ray'Monte A. Cuffee; 47 other great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; four nephews; one niece; a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Bivans will lie in repose on Friday from 6 to 8 PM at Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, PA located on 1618 West Road in Salisbury and Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at New Hope Baptist Church located on 1611 Jersey Road in Salisbury. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 PM. Rev. Doretta Smith will be the Officiating Pastor. Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park, Inc. located on West Road in Salisbury.
