Pocomoke City-Vivian A. Bodley, age 81, of Pocomoke City and formerly of Whaleyville entered into eternal peace on Monday, March 3, 2014. She was born on August 21, 1932 in Elkton, MD to the late Charles and Mary (Exley) Urban.
She started life with two older brothers Jack and Buddy. She married Thurman J. Bodley in 1959 and later settled in Whaleyville where they raised four daughters.
Throughout her life she enjoyed dancing, a good joke, George Strait, canning and most of all her family. Her kind heart and gentle spirit touched generations of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren leaving a legacy of love.
Her memory will be treasured by her four daughters, Cheryl Gronbach, Patricia Bodley Taylor (Kevin), Toni Bodley Julian (Brian) and Kimberley Bodley Judge; her five grandchildren, Aimee Shepherd, Katie Bodley Miles, Robert Johnson III, Casey Anne Johnson and Heather Dawson and her five great-grandchildren, Abigail Dix, Emma Grace Johnson, Tyler Coleman, Tate Miles and Leeanna Dawson.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, March 8 at 3 pm at Dale Cemetery in Whaleyville.
