William sterling Dize

Parsonsburg— William Sterling Dize, 82, of Parsonsburg died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Crisfield he was the son of the late Harland and Minnie Dorman Dize.

A Disabled Veteran of the Korean Conflict he served in Occupation of Germany. He worked for many years with and retired from Barr Freightliner in Delmar. He was a member of the American Legion Post 64 in Salisbury and a life member of Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by four children, William Dize, Robert Dize, Catherine Jarman, and Christine Williams; five grandchildren, Crystal McCullough, Harlan Williams, Jason Dize, Daniel Williams, Michael Jarman; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Watson of Chesapeake, VA; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs, Blue, Precious, and Elmo. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley J. Dize.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 2PM at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens. Visit www.boundsfuneralhome.com to send letters of condolence.
