Pocomoke City-Carlye Camp Carey, 80 of here died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Harrison House Nursing Home in Snow Hill.
Born on March 9, 1934 in Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Carl Camp and Doris Butler Camp. Mrs. Carey had attended Somerset County Schools and was a cosmetologist. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family and friends. Her late Husband and love of her life was Frederick W. Carey. She is survived by three children, Frederick W. "Rick" Carey Jr. and his wife Mary Sue of Pocomoke, Sidney Evans and her husband, Noah David Evans of Pocomoke and Diane Carey Burton of Pocomoke, her grandchildren, Mark Carey, Megan Miller, Kari Horner, Carly Evans, Jay Burton and Karah Lacey and several great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sisters, Nevada Jones of Pocomoke, Barbara Carlton of Redando Beach, California and Janice Benson and her husband, Donald of Pocomoke, a brother, Allen Camp of Salisbury, , a great niece, Rachel Johnson and several nieces and nephews. A late sister was M. Ruth Bodley.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The Rev. Sally Dolch will officiate.
