Calvin J. Baker

Salisbury-Calvin J. Baker, 94, of Salisbury died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Pittsville he was the son of the late Idora James Baker and Gattie Hulda Smith Baker.

Mr. Baker was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He retired from the United States Post Office in 1982 after 35 years as a Postal Worker.

He is survived by daughter, Norma Hastings and her husband Al of Seaford; son, Richard Baker and his wife Lillie of Georgetown; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Ann Bounds Baker; 2nd wife of 65 years, Eleanor Baker; sisters, Ethel Webb, Thelma Baker, Lelia Lowe and Lucy Hearne; and a brother, Frank Baker.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 11AM at Parsons Cemetery.
