Salisbury-Suzanne C. Hinman, 74, of Salisbury died Monday, May 19, 2014, at Salisbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Salisbury on Feb. 14, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Frances Cooper Hinman, and the granddaughter of the late Bayard and Susie Victoria Insley Cooper.
Ms. Hinman graduated from Wicomico Senior High School in 1958 and attended Goldey-Beacom. She worked for many years with her mother at Hinman and Cooper Wallpaper and Paint in Salisbury. She was particularly knowledgeable about wallpaper and fabrics. She was a lifelong member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. She did volunteer work in the Junior Board at Peninsula General Hospital and for Senator Mary Nock at election time. She was a junior member of Green Hill Yacht and Country Club. She was later incapacitated by health problems and blindness.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas B. Hinman, and his wife, Peg, of Owings Mills, Md., as well as numerous cousins.
A private graveside memorial service will be held by the family at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
