Bridgeville-Linden Rementer, 89, of Bridgeville passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood. Born on Sept. 14, 1924, he was the son of the late Charlie and Clara Rementer.
Linden was retired from the E.I. DuPont Co. in Seaford, where he was a supervisor for over 38 years. He was well known in the area as being a talented horse trainer. He had owned the studhorse in the movie "Misty." He was also a farmer, growing his own soybeans, corn and grain.
Linden is survived by his daughters, Laverne Morean and her husband, J.R., of Seaford and Connie Reustle and her husband, Allen, of Delmar and daughter-in-law, Madelyn Rementer; and a sister, Anna Mae German of Seaford. Six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren also survive him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nina Rementer, who passed in April 2014; his son, Jerry Rementer; and his siblings, Calvin Rementer, Helen German and Alice Williams.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 27, at the Church of God of Prophecy in Seaford at 2 p.m. A viewing will be held at the church from 1-2 p.m. Pastor Brent Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
