Ocean City-Edgar Samuel "Buddah" Cowley Jr., 56, died Saturday, May 31, 2104, at his home in Ocean City. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Edgar Samuel Cowley Sr. and Barbara Newton Cowley. He is survived by his wife, Brenda A. Cowley, and stepdaughter, Wendy Cain, and her husband, Brian, of Pasadena, Md. There are three grandchildren, Taylor Cain, Caitlyn Cain and Brian Cain Jr. Also surviving is a brother, David Cowley, and his wife, Sarah, of Zepher Hills, Fla., and a sister, Alice Cowley, of Westminster, Md., and a sister-in-law, Debbie Cowley; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Cowley, and a sister, Marilyn Schauffle.
Mr. Cowley had been employed with Bayshore Development in Ocean City, and had worked as a carpenter and in construction. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Sinepuxent Post 166 Ocean City, and enjoyed Classic Cars.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. A donation in his memory may be made to the
