Salisbury-Stasia Barbara Stasiewicz, 92, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Harmony Hall Assisted Living, Columbia, Md. Born in Worcester, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw Lempicki and Camilla Krawczyk Lempicki.
Stasia married John Frank Stasiewicz when she was 19 and dedicated her life to raising two daughters and two sons. She and her husband moved their family to Salisbury in 1954. Stasia was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, where she volunteered service at the Carriage House Thrift Store. Stasia enjoyed cooking delectable Polish meals, homemade breads and incredible pies; sewing, knitting and making crafts. She was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother who will be missed dearly.
She is survived by three children, John F. Stasiewicz Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Middletown, Md., Paul H. Stasiewicz and his wife, Aniko, of Verona, Wis., and Susan M. Stasiewicz-Waddell and her husband, Jody, of Fulton, Md.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Stasiewicz Sr.; a daughter, Eleanor Wilson; and a grandson, Ken Stasiewicz.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
