Berlin-Wayne Wainwright Young, Sr., 53 died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at his East Shire Drive home in Berlin, MD.
Born in Salisbury, he is the son of Viola Young of Crum Lynne, PA and the late Wayne W. Teagle. He was reared by his aunt and uncle: Rosie (Young) and Clifton Dennis, Sr. of Newark, MD.
Wayne was a 1980 graduate of Snow Hill High School.
He was employed for the past five years as an auto technician with Frostrum Subaru in Pocomoke City, MD In 2010 he retired after 23 years as a warehouse manager and certified forklift operator from Cropper Brittingham of Berlin.
He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Berlin where he served as a member of the United Methodist Men and Young Family Singers. He was a former member of the Booker T. Washington, Lodge #87, F&AM, P.H.A. in Berlin.
Wayne was the inventor of the Tubing Wrench Ratchet.
Besides his mother, aunt and uncle, other survivors include his wife of thirty years: Sheila W. Young, one son: Wayne II (Samantha); one grandson: Eli Henry Young, all of Berlin; two brothers: Charles Young of Crum Lynne, PA and Mark (Serrena) Wright of Chance, MD; father and mother-in-law: James and Ozella Williams; one sister-in-law: Regina (Albin) Handy, all of Berlin; a host of aunts, uncles, one niece and a host of cousins.
A funeral service will be held noon, Friday, June 20, 2014 at Calvary United Methodist Church where friends may call, one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury, MD.
