Bobby Gregg Wagner

Mercersburg, Pa.-Bobby Gregg Wagner, 39, of Mercersburg died unexpectedly Thursday, June 26, 2014, in Harrington, Del. Born June 13, 1975, in Meyersdale, Pa., he was a son of Bonnie Bittinger Wagner of McHenry, Md., and the late Robert D. Wagner.

He was a graduate of Northern Garrett High School, Accident, Md., and was employed with Norfolk Southern Railroad of Harrisburg, Pa., as a train conductor.

Bobby was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. His last duty assignment was with 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines, Bravo Company, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoed hunting and fishing. He was a member of American Legion Post 517 of Mercersburg.

He was a devoted husband and father.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Heather Knepp Wagner, whom he married June 17, 2006; a son, Zacre A. Wagner, and a daughter, Kaelin M. Wagner, both at home; three siblings, Richard and wife, Rebecca, Wagner, and Lisa and husband, Glen, Marsh, both of McHenry and Robert and wife, Sarita, Wagner of Ocala, Fla.; maternal grandmother, Zelma Bittinger of Oakland, Md. Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews and two great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Clayton Memorial Church of God, 6701 Charlestown Road, Mercersburg, with Pastor Harold E. Yeager officiating. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until the service at 2. Following the service military honors will be conducted by the Marine Corps. SEMPER FI.
