John Albert "Jack" Biles, Sr.

Delmar-John Albert "Jack" Biles, Sr., 76 of Delmar, DE, died at home on Friday, July 25, 2014. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Benjamin Calvert Biles and Ruth Mae Bowersox Biles.
He is survived by the love of his life for 43 years, Ann Marie Biles; 11 children, Wanda Biles Davis & husband, Jeff, Tammy Biles and husband, Tommy, Robert Biles, Ruth Biles Ennis and husband, Gary, John A. Biles, Jr. and wife, Michele, Edward A. Ferro, III and wife, Sally, Carol S. MacDonald, Layton S. Littleton, Jr. and wife, Cynthia, Angela J. McAllister, Judy F. Noehl and husband, Michael and Deborah "Bonnie" Sprouse; 39 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a "God-send of a friend", John Abbott, who sat many times overnight during Jack's illness.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, William, Darvin and Gerald Biles; and a son, John Calvin Sprouse.
"Jack" was a Shriner in the 32nd degree AF & AM Scottish Rites Bodies of Maryland and Delmar Lodge 201 of Delmar, MD and Hope Lodge #4 of Laurel, DE. He was a model train enthusiasts and his hobbies included computers and having coffee with his friends and neighbors. He was an avid CB'er with a handle known as "Father Time". "Jack" was a plumber and also a truck driver for Black Duck Refuse. He was a loving husband, father and doting grandfather.
A masonic service and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pittsville Cemetery with Rev. James C. Hitch officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions may be made to the Shriner Children's Hospital or the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church Benevolence Fund, 618 West Main Street., Fruitland, MD 21826.
