PRINCESS ANNE — Carroll Bruce Wilkinson of Princess Anne went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 31, 2011, surrounded by his family and friends after a losing a long fight with cancer.
He was born Feb. 21, 1952, to the the late Corey Wilkinson and Sarah A. Elliott Wilkinson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of 14 years, Rose E. Wilkinson; granddaughter, Rosalynn Pinder; his son, Douglas Bruce Wilkinson; stepson, Steve Thomas (Cecilia) of Laurel; stepdaughters, Christina "Tina" Callery (Todd) of Princess Anne and Jackie Dryden (Al) of Girdletree; grandchildren, Brandon and Gabrielle Thomas, Trenton and Lane Callery, Deidra and Dwight Merritt Jr. and Cassidy and Colin Wilkinson; also a special nephew, Kenneth (Speedy) Wilkerson (Erma); a special aunt, Martha Peek; and his co-workers at the city of Fruitland.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Wilkerson and George Wilkinson.
He was a loyal member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Tony Tank Tribe 149.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at FOE 3540 in Salisbury.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richard Henson Cancer Center of Salisbury.
All arrangements are entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Salisbury.
