SALISBURY — Annie Louise Mills Maddox, 73, of Salisbury died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Polk's Road, near Princess Anne, she was the daughter of Beulah Mills (Leonard) Jackson of Vienna and the stepdaughter of the late Edward D. Brown of Princess Anne.
She was a graduate of the former Somerset High School in Princess Anne. She was a member of Wesley Temple United Methodist Church in Salisbury and the United Methodist Women.
Her survivors include her devoted husband of 56 years, Matthew (Matt) Maddox Sr. of Salisbury; three children, Matthew (Ella Mae) Maddox Jr. of Seaford, Carlisa (S. Anthony) Hill of Woodbridge, Va., and Colette (Lloyd Jr.) Price of Salisbury; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Billie (Sylvester) Blake of Salisbury, Carolyn Opher of Baltimore and Barbara Haynes of Compton, Calif.; two brothers, Leon (Barbara) Mills of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Donald (Mae Helen) Mills of Salisbury; one stepsister, Peggy Waller of Vienna; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Capers of Princess Anne; two aunts, Lola Mills of Salisbury and Cora Marshall of Fort Washington, Md.; one uncle, George Mills of England; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held at noon Friday at Wesley Temple United Methodist Church in Salisbury, where friends may call one hour prior to service. Interment will be private.
Funeral services are entrusted to Jolley Memorial Chapel of Salisbury.
