Hebron—Lucille Harper Bradshaw, 85, of Hebron for the past six years, and formerly of Kingston, died Monday, October 29, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Born in Green County, North Carolina on November 4, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Penny Agnes Johnston Harper. Her husband, Rollins Tull Bradshaw, preceded her in death in 2009.
She was a retired assistant manager working with her husband at the former Bata Shoe Store for 16 years and the former Sears & Roebuck Catalogue Store for 9 years, both in Crisfield, retiring in 1975. She also worked during World War II at Langley Field in Hampton, VA where she met her husband who was currently serving in the Army Air Corps.
She was a loving member of Marion Baptist Church, where she taught the Teenage Girls' Sunday School Class. Lucille loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and looked forward to Harper family reunions. She was also a great cook and enjoyed cooking her family Sunday dinners.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Rollins Bradshaw and wife Mary of Salisbury; six grandchildren, Kristin Bradshaw-DiCintio and husband Dennis DiCintio of Fruitland and their children Koby, Kiley, and Karter, Jessica Bradshaw of Ocean City, Stephanie Bradshaw and Melanie Bradshaw, both of Hallwood, VA, Wendy Cialkowski and husband John of Berlin and their children, Johnny, Rachel and Mary, & Edward Horner, III of Lewes, DE and his children, Lillyanne, Edwin IV, Elizabeth and Loudy; four sisters, Hazel, Millie, Ann, and Betty; one brother, Billy; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Bradshaw who died in infancy; and two sons, Ronnie Bradshaw who died in 1965 and Jerry Bradshaw who died in 2005; a sister Thelma; and brothers Carl, Jasper, Grant, and Jerome.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 5, 2012 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Joseph Barnes will officiate. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
