Janet C. Womach

Laurel—Janet Christopher Womach, age 79, of Laurel, Delaware left this earth November 4th, 2012 to be with the love of her life T. Eugene Womach.

Janet was loved by many. She loved to laugh, tell jokes, sing and play the piano. She sang in the Centenary United Methodist Church Choir and was a soloist at many of the weddings in Laurel in the 60's and 70's. She was a substitute teacher at Laurel High School in the 70's. Students always love to have her as their teacher. She retired from the Laurel Post Office where she was a rural mail carrier for over 20 years. Janet was superintendent of Centenary's Sunday School for many years. She would go to every class to play the piano for each Sunday School. She directed the children's choir and always loved to have them sing during church. Janet loved eating dinner at 4pm everyday with her friends at Britt's Dutch Inn in Laurel. Her dinner friends were very dedicated to her throughout her illness.

Janet was past Grand Matron of Grand Chapter of Delaware Order of the Eastern Star. She traveled to many states to represent her beloved state of Delaware. Janet was a 50 year member of the Laurel Chapter #18. Also a member of Sussex Chapter in Seaford and a member of Roelma Chapter in Sharptown, MD. She was a active member in the "Lunch Bunch" Red Hats, Laurel Alumni and Rebakah's.

Mrs. Womach was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Della Mae Christopher, husband T. Eugene Womach, grandson, Chad A. Womach and great grandson Jacob Michael DenHerder.

Mrs. Womach is survived by her son, Thomas Eugene Womach II of Key Largo, Florida and her daughter Karen E. Womach and husband Kenneth W. Faust of Laurel. Three grandchildren, Angela M. DenHerder and husband Aaron ,Joshua F. Plummer and wife Paula, and Christopher L. Womach. The loves of her life great grandsons, Samuel Eugene and Eli Wise DenHerder. She is also survived by her best "Bud" Hazel Baker.

A Funeral Service will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church Laurel, Delaware on Thursday, November 8th, 2012 at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home Laurel, De on Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 pm. The Rev. Joseph Burris will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Laurel.
