Salisbury—Chester Lee Watson, 75, of here, departed this life on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Keller, VA, he was the son of Bertie Lee Watson Colona of Exmore, VA and the late James Lee Tiggs.
Mr. Watson was a member of New Life Seventh-day Adventist Church in Salisbury where he served as a deacon and usher.
In addition to his mother, loving memories will be cherished by: one son, Gregory (Kim) Johnson of Rahway, NJ; one daughter, Darlene (Richard) Kellam of Painter, VA; two stepchildren, Victor (Inez) Huntley of Baltimore and Melody McCarthy of Delmar, DE; three brothers, Gerald (Dora) Tiggs of Georgia, Leroy (Sue Ann) Tiggs of Lincoln, DE and William (Wanda) Tiggs of Harrington, DE; three sisters, Ethel Bowen of Milford, DE, Mary (Willie) Alexander and Catherine (Larry) Johnson, both of Ellendale, DE; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Mr. Watson will lie in repose on Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, P.A. located on 1618 West Road in Salisbury and Monday from 12 to 1 PM at New Life Seventh-day Adventist Church located on 29119 Adventist Drive in Salisbury. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM. Dr. Paul A. Bryant will officiate. Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park, Inc. located on West Road in Salisbury.
