Snow Hill—Thelma "Resa" Teresa Coston-Harris, 53, of here, departed this life on Monday, December 17, 2012, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lewis Coston, Sr. and Carrie Agnes Burton Tankard. She was raised by her grandmother and grandfather, the late Lessie Mae Kelly Coston and Earl Livingston Coston.
Mrs. Coston-Harris was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Snow Hill where she served as a choir member of Divine Purpose and the Mass Choir.
She graduated from Wor-Wic Technical Community College with a Nursing Degree. She was employed as a caretaker for many years.
Loving memories will be cherished by: three sons, Maurice Coston of Teaneck, NJ, Mark L. Coston of Delmar, MD and George E. (Tykeytra) Dale of Cary, NC; one daughter, Laurita M. Coston of Baltimore; seven brothers, Robert L. (Pamela) Coston, Jr. of Snow Hill, William (Joyce) Hatton of Seaford, DE, Larry (Denise) Jarmon of Wilson, NC, Bernard Jarmon of Abingdon, Bobby Jarmon of Des Moines, IA, Edward Mills of College Park, and Felton (Jennifer) Mills of New Castle, DE; four sisters, Patsy Taylor of Philadelphia, PA, Sandra Coston Barkley and Robin L. Coston, both of Snow Hill and Gloria Jean Carr of Baltimore; two adopted sisters, Faye Rowley and Michelle Young, both of Washington, D.C.; nine uncles; one great-uncle; five aunts; four grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
Mrs. Coston-Harris will lie in repose on Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM at Snow Hill High School located on 305 South Church Street in Snow Hill. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM. Rev. Joe Poe will officiate. Disposition will be private. A ministry of comfort and dignity is being provided by Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, P.A. in Salisbury.
