Douglas David Good Obituary
Douglas David Good

SALISBURY — Douglas "Doug" David Good, 77, of Salisbury died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at his daughter's home in Salisbury, where he recently resided.

He was born Nov. 6, 1935, in Cambridge, a son of the late James Preston Good and Ott Lee Good.

Doug drove a truck for most of his career, first for himself before driving many years for Glasgow Davis. In his later years he worked as a security officer for Wilkins Security. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan and loved NASCAR racing. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr. and he was proud of his huge collection of Earnhardt memorabilia. His true meaning of life was spending time with his family and his presence will be missed, especially during this Christmas season.

He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Wilson of Salisbury, Janet McMichael (Tim) of Federalsburg and Lisa Hill (Wyatt) of Salisbury; eight grandchildren, Christina Timmons (Tim) of Fort Huachuca, Ariz., Amy McMichael of Preston, Tim McMichael Jr. (Jan) of Easton, Kim Conley (Chris) of Salisbury, Eric McMichael (Crystal) of Denton, Robby Hill (Jessica) of Hebron, Stacey White (Matt) of Salisbury and Joey Hill of Salisbury; 16 great grandchildren, Madison Timmons, Cheyanne McMichael Robinson, Zachary Robinson, Trevor McMichael, Carson Timmons, Kayla McMichael, Andrew McMichael, Dylan Aydelotte, Gavin McMichael, Kaleb Conley, Jackson McMichael, Kaylyn White, Karter Conley, Robbie Hill Jr., Ruby Hill and Chloe Hill; a sister, Anne Marie Murphy of Salisbury; and two brothers, Bill Good and James Preston Good Jr., both of Salisbury. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Sylvia Jean Good, who passed in 2009; an infant son, Norris Edward Good, who passed in 1957; and a son-in-law, A.C. Wilson.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. at Mardela Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Howard Travers will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, Md. 21802.
