Alonzo Leon Miles, Jr. II

SALISBURY—Alonzo Miles, Jr., 72, AKA "Lil June, Junie and Tight Man" departed this life on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake in Salisbury.

Born July 21, 1940, to the late Ella Miles and Alonzo Leon Miles, Sr. He was preceded in death by two beloved sisters, Bertie and Elizabeth; two brothers, William "Bobby" and Lloyd.

Alonzo served in the U.S. Air Force, worked as a transmission technician at AAMCO,and later with Campbell Soup Co., for many years. He spent his retirement years as an avid Hot Rodder racing his Dodge Charger "Bullet" at U.S. 13 Dragway and enjoyed being a mechanic.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dorothy Ann MIles "Ms. Dot"; daughter, Carol Miles; sons, Alonzo Miles, Jr., III, Jerry Miles, Kevin Miles and his wife, Nicole, Edwin Miles and his wife, Kristen, Ivan Miles and his wife, Shannon, Jeffrey Miles, Andre Johnson, Anthony Milbourne, Timothy Milbourne; three sisters, Pauline Jackson and husband, Shanley, Ella Louise Miles, Hazel Cropper, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Highway Holiness Church in Crisfield and funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church.

Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Princess Anne.
