Anna L. "Muffy" Adkins Obituary
Anna L. "Buffy" Adkins

Delmar—Anna L. "Muffy" Adkins, 52, of Delmar, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury after a brief illness.

She was born September 29, 1960 in Salisbury, a daughter of Rose Mary and R.L. Hill of Delmar.

Muffy graduated from Delmar High School with the class of 1978. She attended St. Paul's United Methodist. She proudly worked in administration at Lowe's in Salisbury for over 22 years. She was a true people person who was happy doing almost anything, as long as it was with family and friends, and especially loved to dance and sing karaoke. Her dogs, especially her Lab, Rosebud, were her pride and joy. She also enjoyed adding angels to her collection. Many of her family members were the recipients of the special afghans that she crocheted and they will cherish them as they keep her memory alive.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 27 years, Scott Alan Adkins; 2 sons, Mikie Adkins and his wife, Anna, and Matthew Adkins, all of Delmar; a step-son, Scottie Adkins of Delmar; 4 grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Grace and Scott III; 2 sisters, Teresa Mitchell of Delmar and Chris "Lil" Carmine and her husband, Paul of Harrington; a brother, William Taylor of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Lisa Cathell and her husband, Hal and their daughter Courtney of Delmar; special nieces, Ashley Carmine and Samantha Mitchell; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a step father, Cecil T. Jacob; her maternal grandmother, Grace Weidema; and her former mother-in-law, Sylvia Adkins.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00. The Reverends Rebecca H. Rollins and Ronnie Payne will officiate. Entombment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
